Royal Queen Seeds – An in-depth Review

Royal Queen Seeds have been around since 2007 and opened their first shop in Amsterdam in 2010. The following year they launched their website, and then another physical shop in Amsterdam in 2015. Followed by Barcelona in 2016. Royal Queen Seeds reviews are usually excellent and their collection of strains is second to none (well, second to one if you count Seedsman!).

Royal Queen Seeds cites its grower’s individual experiences as the reason for their exceptionality as a company. These experiences have helped shape and mould their cannabis strains into what they are; unique and award-winning.

We stock over 100 seeds from Royal Queen Seeds and it hasn’t been easy to pick our favourites. But, after much debate at Seedsman HQ, here’s our list:

Shining Silver Haze – Royal Queen Seeds Reviews

Shining Silver Haze Regular results from a long quest to find a Haze strain with the flowering period more like an indica plant. It is 75% sativa and 25% indica and was bred by crossing a Haze with a Skunk x Northern Light hybrid. This regular version allows the collection of pollen from male plants for breeding experiments.

Indoors Shining Silver haze will grow quite compact, about 100 – 120 cm. tall, as long as the veg. time is kept relatively short. Yields are excellent, with 600 – 650 gr/m2 being cropped in as little as 9 – 11 weeks. Which is very fast for a Haze strain. Outdoors need the warmth of the Mediterranean, or even warmer regions, to reach its potential, of 200 cm. or higher, but 600 – 650 gr/plant is quite possible by late October in the northern hemisphere. It can withstand colder conditions, but the light is the secret to the biggest yields.

THC production is very high at 21%, with medium levels of CBD. The effect is almost unbelievable, an instant cerebral high. Its flavour is a mouth-watering combination of citrus, sweet, earthy and pine. This strain is great for lifting your mood and providing some motivational energy. It is very suitable for use in joints, spliffs, pipes and vaporizers.

Sherbet Queen Auto – Royal Queen Seeds Reviews

Sherbet Queen Auto is a fast-finishing auto-flowering strain that is derived from a cross of Pink Panties and Cookies Auto. With a genetic make-up of 65% indica, 30% sativa and 5% ruderalis, this is a delicious variety. It comes with a generous amount of THC.

Sherbet Queen Auto is an ideal strain for the beginner as it is fast and undemanding. What better introduction to cannabis growing?

Sherbet Queen Auto plants are compact and can be cultivated in small spaces both indoors and outdoors. Yields can be maximised by employing the SCRoG technique, which exposes more bud sites to the available light. Indoors these plants will grow to between 70 – 100 cm. tall producing yields of 325 – 400 gr/m2 in just 8 – 9 weeks from germination.

Outdoors, planted either in the ground, in large pots or in raised beds they will grow a little larger at 80 – 120 cm. In this latter environment plants can yield 100 – 150 gr. each. Buds are very attractive, resin-covered and decorated with orange/yellow trichomes.

The fruitiness of Pink Panties allied to the sweetness of Cookies Auto results in some tasty, sweet, fruity terpenes. THC production is outstanding at 20%, while CBD levels are low. The resultant effect is calming and physically relaxing.

Pineapple Kush Feminised – Royal Queen Seeds Reviews

Pineapple Kush results from crossing two prevalent strains viz. OG Kush and Pineapple. It is an 80% indica, 20% sativa strain that produces 18% THC with relatively low CBD. Despite the paucity of CBD, it is medicinally useful as it has a very relaxing effect.

Indoors Pineapple Kush will grow to be 70 – 120 cm. tall yielding 500 – 550 gr/m2 in a concise flowering period of 7 – 8 weeks. Outdoors harvests in late September (northern latitudes) will yield 500 – 550 gr. from plants that are between 120 – 180 cm. tall. It is a relatively easy strain to grow, requiring no special skills.

The dried weed from Pineapple Kush is very sweet-tasting with more than a passing resemblance to pineapple fruit together with notes of vanilla, mint and caramel. The physical effects are not as strong as with OG Kush. Mentally it is uplifting yet relaxing, melting problems away; as such, it is recommended therapeutically for anxiety, lack of appetite, migraines, ADHD, PMS and general stress levels.
