We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. But fear not! We are going to be replacing this legendary strain with the equally renowned Original Skunk #1 Feminised.

Original Skunk #1 was originally created by Sacred Seeds on the west coast of the USA during the second half of the 1970’s. Bred by crossing an Afghani Indica, Acapulco Gold Mexican Sativa and a Colombian Gold sativa. It was the very first stabilised hybrid to be introduced to the burgeoning Dutch growing scene. It was then commonly called “sinsemilla” – grown for potency as seedless marijuana and prevented from becoming fertilised in order to harness all of the plant’s energy to be used for resin production and not for seeds.

Its stabilisation resulted in its utilisation as breeding stock for almost all of the Skunk strains currently available as well as for many other strains as well. As such it was seen as the “gold standard” for modern, hybrid cannabis. Its dense buds vary from a light green to a golden colour and are liberally packed with THC-carrying resin. Its taste is somewhat sweet with a decidedly strong aroma (hence the name) and it delivers a powerful, cerebral high effect. Due to the very high ratio of buds to larger leaves it is a strain that is very easy to manicure following its harvest and drying.

Original Skunk #1 Feminised Seeds from Seedsman is a one of the most popular strains available on our website and has some truly exceptional customer reviews. You can check out our very ow Original Skunk grow video below.

I have been trying to get to the bottom line if Skunk #1 is really what we here in California called Humboldt Skunk. Many of the seed companies out there claim that it is, but many people I know that use to get the original claim today Skunk #1 is not the same. That Skunk #1 just does not have the same skunk smell or high. I have tried many times to contact people in Humboldt that are in the industry and no one will say if any of the original Humboldt Skunk is still around and if those seeds are still obtainable.
In fact the whole seed deal here in California seems to be off limits when I go to various dispensaries and inquire if any of them can get or have seeds to sell. I consistently get that blank stare and answer they don’t know anything about seeds.
I don’t feel comfortable buying seeds off the internet from seed companies out of the country. What is the big deal here in California about getting seeds?
